Problem: When a temporary password is assigned by a System Manager, the user, when logging on again must change the temporarary password to a permanent one. AVSS will automatically go to YOUR PASSWORD option.  Many users are confused as to how to proceed at this point.

Solution: Instead of going to the YOUR PASSWORD suboption, AVSS should automatically go one level down to the CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD suboption.

Problem: UNKNOWN is not to be allowed on items 7 and 8 (Father's state and date of birth). Dashes are to be used.

Solution: For item 7 we have UNKNOWN in our list of state country codes and therefore we are allowing UNKNOWN to be printed on the certificates. This will require a recode of item 7 to a dash when UNKNOWN (or it's equivalents) is selected. Additionally, the check for not allowing a dash for field 7 and 8 when 6A,B and C aren't also dashes must be removed.

Problem: AVSS is no longer prompting for items 112B, 112C and 112D.

Solution: This was caused by copying the EDR prompting sequence into items 112A and 113.1. These two items need to have their next and previous prompt sections corrected.

Note: I've done the programming and updated Monterey and Yuba. We will save this fix for a possible 4.12A county fix later as new mods are found.

Problem: In looking at errors occurring on AVSSNet I found that during a re-print of a list to be sent if the user backs out FSLIST3A is not returning to the proper spot in FSLIST3.  Peter has gotten a few replies of users wanting to use the old DOHLIST options since the new one does not loop.

Solution: Modify FSLIST3A to return to the proper spot when backing out of a reprint and operate like the old version for index selection.

Problem: On the death certificate if a zip is selected which contains a city that crosses county borders the proper defaults for the one chosen are not set.

Solution: This was introduced by AMR 02068. The HCA,24E subfield check was modified to account for the new format in the ^FSL("ZIP" list but the other forms which access the zip list were not. Modify the CDC (23 and 27D), CMR (ZIP), DMR (ZIP), FDC (28E), FMR (ZIP) and SM (CAZI) forms to reflect the changes made in the HCA,24E,CHK,1 and 6.

Problem: She has always run the newspaper announcement report on a monthly basis. This worked fine while she was on a stand-alone AVSS system. Now that she is on AVSSNet her older hospital records have already been registered as LCAs and no longer show up on the report.

Solution: Modify the #HNP1L report and the FSYNEWS routines to work on multiple forms.

Notes: I copied the #HNP1L report to the NP1L report and modified the FORMS section to do both HCA;LCA. It seems to work. Marilyn is going to check the output. Similar to the verification letter, the user's id will control access to the LCA records.
